About Me

I felt the need to set up a website when I decided that a macOS application that I had developed for managing my own personal finances was good enough to share with others. This is the result.

Whilst the main aim of crizzle.co.uk is to support the users (actual and potential) of MyNetWorth and iNetWorth, it has a secondary aim, which is to host a blog about what I have learned while developing macOS and iOS apps and creating/publishing this (static) website.

In a previous life I was a navigator in the Royal Air Force. The tactical callsign that I was awarded, when I joined 56(F) Squadron, was Crizzle - hence the name of this website. I have now embarked on a (third) career as a philanthropic software developer, building on my previous experience of FORTRAN, ALGOL, Pascal, C++ and Ada. All profits from sales of the Full versions of MyNetWorth and iNetWorth will go to a range of charities; these will include my local church, for which I am the Treasurer, and the other churches in the River Idle Benefice. If you would like to help us keep All Saints Mattersey going in the meantime, you can contribute directly here 😇.

In early 2023 I decided to port MyNetWorth to Microsoft Windows. I say port; in fact I had to rewrite almost all the code, because SwiftUI and Swift (the languages that I use in the Xcode IDE) are very different beasts to XAML and C# (the languages that I use in the Visual Studio IDE). So, another main aim of crizzle.co.uk is to support the users (actual and potential) of MyNetWorth for Windows and the secondary aim will include lessons revealed while developing Microsoft Windows apps.
